Using the Information Commons Meeting Room Reservation System

From the Info Commons Room Reservations system, log in with your BPL barcode and PIN. You must have a valid Adult card (for those age 17 and older) in order to reserve a room.

To make a reservation:

The initial view you see is the full calendar. Click on an open time slot to start the reservation process.

If your reservation will be after the current week, you can click on the calendar icon to quickly go to a future day. Remember that your reservation can't be made more than 28 days in advance.

Adjust the end time of the reservation as needed, but remember that your reservation can't last more than two hours in the standard meeting rooms (three hours for the recording studio). You can type in a brief description of what you and your friends or colleagues will be using the room for, but it's not required. Click Create.

Your reservation will now appear in green on the main calendar.

You will get an error message if you try to:

  • Reserve a standard meeting room for more than two hours at a time, or the recording studio for more than three hours at a time. (The maximum session length is two hours for the regular rooms or three hours for the recording studio, in 30-minute increments.)
  • Make a reservation that's more than 4 weeks from now. (Reservations may be scheduled up to 28 days in advance.)
  • Make more than two reservations in a single calendar month.
To edit or cancel an existing reservation:

Log in and find your reservation in the main calendar view (it will be displaying in green) or go to the My Calendar section.

Click on the reservation you want to edit or cancel. Either make a change to your reservation and click the Update button, or click Delete in order to cancel your reservation completely.
