Brooklyn Daily Eagle

The people of Brooklyn loved to be entertained. They picnicked in Green-Wood Cemetery; they attended the Academy of Music for opera and the philharmonic concerts; they loved the mystery and exoticism of Barnum's American Museum. For children and adults alike, the curiosities that Barnum offered were worth the twenty-five cents admission.
