"The National Cemetery at Gettysburg" (Gettysburg Address)

On November 19, 1863, President Abraham Lincoln and other political leaders met on the field of battle in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, to dedicate a portion of the field as a National Cemetery. While the main speaker at the event, Edward Everett, spoke for two hours, Lincoln spoke for a mere two minutes. His speech that day stands as one of the greatest orations in American history.
