BPL - Exhibition: Brooklyn's Bridges, Kellyann MonaghanKellyann Monaghan paints urban and rural landscapes. She has had numerous solo and group shows at national and international venues, including Barrett Art Center in Poughkeepsie, the Painting Center and A-forest Gallery in Manhattan, and Sharon Goldberg Contemporary Art in Brooklyn. In 2010 she curated Urban Structures, an exhibit at Adelphi University, where she is also an associate professor of art. She also attended the artist residency La Muse in southern France. Her solo exhibition at the Earlville Opera House will open in August 2011.

BPL - Exhibition: Brooklyn's Bridges, Lucille NurkseLucille Nurkse is a visual artist inspired by the rhythms of nature in the city and Chinese calligraphy. She has been awarded residencies at Blue Mountain Center, Byrdcliffe Art Colony and Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. In 2006 her collage received the Myra Biggerstaff Memorial Award by the National Association of Women Artists. In 2009 her linocut won the Purchase Award at William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey.

BPL - Exhibition: Brooklyn's Bridges, Al PereiraAl Pereira is one of the pioneering photographers of hip-hop's golden age. He is the team photographer and photo manager for the New York Jets, and a freelance music photographer. His photographs have appeared in The New York Times, New York Post, New York Daily News, Time, Newsweek, Vibe, Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, Sports Illustrated and Bravo, as well as books and exhibitions. He wrote and provided photographs for Rapper's Delights: African-American Cookin' with Soul. He was also featured in the book 100 New York Photographers and an ad for Canon.

BPL - Exhibition: Brooklyn's Bridges, Paul RaphaelsonPaul Raphaelson is a Brooklyn-based artist who photographs the urban and cultural landscape. For the rest of the time, Paul writes, cooks, climbs rocks and does mercenary work for ad agencies.

BPL - Exhibition: Brooklyn's Bridges, Lynn SavilleLynn Saville. Fine art photographer Saville specializes in photographing cities and rural settings at twilight and dawn, or, as she describes it, "the boundary times between night and day." Her photographs are published in two monographs: Acquainted with the Night (Rizzoli, 1997) and Night/Shift (Random House/Monacelli, 2009). Her work is represented by the Yancey Richardson Gallery in New York and is in the permanent art collections of major museums, corporations and individuals. She lives in New York City with her husband, the poet Philip Fried.

BPL - Exhibition: Brooklyn's Bridges, Keith ThomsonKeith Thomson is a Brooklyn-based photographer who has lived in Carroll Gardens for over 10 years. Whether photographing people or cityscapes, he creates an intimacy with the subjects. He has been exhibiting in group shows and fairs in Brooklyn for over five years. He has also been a curator at the former Sputnik Gallery in Clinton Hill, a local music booker and a columnist for Under the Volcano, a music fanzine.
