My Brooklyn: The Winners
Central Library, Grand Lobby
Exhibition Notes
Home to over 2.5 million people-and former home to millions of others-Brooklyn is both a geographical reality and a vital memory. My Brooklyn, the photo and essay contest sponsored by Brooklyn Public Library and Con Edison, now in its second year, allows Brooklynites of all ages to visually document the physical and human aspects of the borough as well as provide written testimony as to how Brooklyn figures in our imagination.
Winners are selected in three categories: Adult, Young Adult (ages 13 through 19),
and Juvenile (ages 12 and under). First and second place winners, as well as
finalists, are selected in each category by a panel of Brooklyn authors.
