Consumer Health Brochures in Multiple Languages
The site provides information in audio format as well as .pdf documents. Native speakers of the respective languages furnish the narrations, which are recorded, encoded, and linked to the project's web site for easy access. Health information access is a basic healthcare need. Literacy, health-literacy, illness, aging, disability and language are all issues that can pose barriers to obtaining basic health information. This site contains free health education materials in a number of languages and a variety of formats.
