Laptops, Workshops & Job Readiness Skills
Laptop computers are now available to use in the Library, and there are more job readiness and technology programs at eight branches in Bushwick, Bedford-Stuyvesant and Brownsville. All for free!
Plug in to new technology, brush up on your internet skills, or find out about the best ways to get a job in today’s market from a career expert.
Laptop Program*
Laptops can be used for up to two-hour sessions in the Library—four times the amount of time allowed on desktop computers—giving you more time to get things done. See a staff person to find out more information.
Job Readiness Skills
Drop in for a one-on-one session to get help working on a resume, searching for a job, using online career resources or practicing interview skills. Classes on special topics will also be offered.
New Technology
Try out music or photo software; learn how to use Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Excel or PowerPoint; and learn how to navigate social networking and media websites with the help of experienced staff.
