    This program will explore the work of some major artists in history, including their themes and techniques, with the aim of exploring and creating our own works of art. Each week, students will explore and discuss the works of master artists through library sources and then create a correlating work of art. Students will also be given a sketchbook of their own to work on ideas both during and in-between sessions. Provided by Brooklyn Public Library's Services for Older Adults with generous funding from the Sills Family Foundation.

The story chronicles the Bundren family as they traverse the Mississippi countryside to bring the body of their deceased mother Addie to her hometown for burial. Their road trip to Jefferson, some forty miles away, is disrupted by every antagonistic force of nature or man: flooded rivers, injury and accident, and a raging barn fire.
