Brooklyn Public Library Announces Reopening of Clinton Hill Library 

Branch Improvements Include Self-Checkout, Energy-Efficient Lighting, New Interior Layout and Updated Children’s Room


Brooklyn, NYBrooklyn Public Library (BPL) today announced the reopening of the Clinton Hill Library after a closure of five months for renovations. 

Improvements at the Clinton Hill Library include a self-checkout and self-check-in installation; a new air conditioning and heating system; LED lighting and ceiling panels; a new paint job; a drawable wall in the children's room; an updated information desk; a reconfigured, brighter interior space; new window treatments; and updated furniture.

“Thanks to many improvements, Clinton Hill Library is now better than ever before. From the drawable wall for children to self-check technology, patrons will find many new reasons to love their renovated branch. We are happy to welcome Clinton Hill residents back to their neighborhood library,” said Linda E. Johnson, President & CEO of Brooklyn Public Library.

The Clinton Hill Library, opened in 1974, is located at 380 Washington Avenue at Lafayette Avenue.
