Free Concert Series at Brooklyn Public Library

(Brooklyn, NY) July 21 – Wednesdays and Fridays in August have just gotten hotter. This summer, there’s a new venue for outdoor concerts – Brooklyn Public Library’s Central Library! Our newly renovated plaza will be sizzling with performances the entire family will enjoy.

Ed Cherry Trio

Jazz Guitarist Cherry first rose to prominence as a member of the Dizzy Gillespie quartet and big band from 1978 to 1999.

Tomas Rodriguez
Friday, Aug 7, 5 PM
Rodriguez defines a new sound for the Spanish guitar. Through his original compositions and interpretations of other works, Mr. Rodriguez explores African rhythms as well as lesser-known pieces in Latin American and Spanish guitar repertoire.

Michael Blake Trio

Saxophonist, composer and arranger Michael Blake has established his presence in the jazz world. Once a member of the Lounge Lizards, he currently performs with his band Hellbent as well as bassist Ben Allison.

Oran Etkin Trio
