Brooklyn's former borough historian will give an illustrated talk on Brooklyn's history, showing many photographs published in his recent books, Historic Photos of Brooklyn and Brooklyn: Historically Speaking.
John B. Manbeck taught English and journalism at Kingsborough Community College for 32 years. He has lectured at the Smithsonian and for the New York Council for the Humanities. He will be available to sign copies of his books at the end of the talk.
This event will take place in the Brooklyn Collection Reserve Room on the Second Floor of the Central Library.
