Bookmobile

Brooklyn Public Library's Bookmobile
Thanks to funding from Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, Brooklyn Public Library has four new bookmobiles. The bookmobiles are 29 feet long and 9 ½ feet tall, and houses 6000 books.
During the week, the Bookmobiles serve neighborhoods whose libraries are currently under renovation. On Saturdays they make appearances at community events.
Scheduling a Bookmobile Visit
Is your institution interested in a visit from the Bookmobile? Apply online! or contact the Office of Neighborhood Services at 718-230-2238 for more information.
BPL's other mobile libraries are the Kidsmobile, which feature a children's collection and serves schools, daycare centers and community events, and the Bibliobús, a travelling Spanish-language collection serving Spanish-speaking communities in Brooklyn.
Note: Fines can not be settled at the Bookmobile. Due to lack of space, holds can not be placed or picked up at the Bookmobile.
