Baseball Book Review Contest Rules and Regulations
Enter our baseball book review contest for a chance to be our special guest on the field at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday, August 29.
 
Here's how to enter:
 
1. If you are between the ages of 6 and 18, write a book review on any book about baseball or a baseball player. Entries will be judged by BPL staff on the quality of the writing and demonstrated knowledge of and interest in baseball.  
 
2. Email your review to SummerRead@brooklynpubliclibrary.org by Monday, August 20 and include your first and last name, age, and phone number. You can also send your review by postal mail. Make sure we receive it at the following address by August 20:

One child and one teen will be chosen to represent Brooklyn Public Library at the Summer Reading Yankee game on Wednesday, August 29. Before the game, winners will go on the field to meet a Yankee and be congratulated on the video board.
 
Winners will be called by Friday, August 24.
 
Get a parent or guardian’s permission before entering. A parent or guardian must be available to attend the August 29 game with you.

 
No purchase or payment of money is necessary to enter or win. Limit of one entry per person. There will be 2 prizes awarded. No returns or substitutions. Winners will be notified by phone on or before August 24, 2012, and may be asked to sign and return a short affidavit to confirm eligibility and agreement to abide by these official rules. The odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. Available to all Brooklyn residents. Sponsor, and its affiliates and their employees and families, are not eligible to enter.  Interns and volunteers are eligible to enter. Applicable taxes are the sole responsibility of the winners. Sponsor reserves the right at any time to cancel or modify this sweepstakes in whole or in part in the event of technical or other difficulties. By participating in this drawing, entrant agrees to be bound by these official rules. Prize will be awarded to alternate winner if prize notification cannot be made or is otherwise undeliverable. Target is the lead sponsor of Brooklyn Public Library’s Summer Reading 2012 program. Barclays/Nets Community Alliance, Astoria Federal Savings, National Grid Foundation and Con Edison have also provided generous sponsorship support.
