The support of corporate donors plays an important role in expanding the Library's roster of programs and initiatives to meet the information, education and recreation needs of the 2.5 million residents of Brooklyn. It helps BPL provide a robust, year-round roster of children's programs and services, as well as educational and cultural programs for audiences of all ages and backgrounds.

Opportunities for corporate support at BPL are as diverse as the programs themselves:

  • Corporate Sponsorship: BPL presents thousands of public programs each year, including after-school tutoring, educational programs for all ages, ethnocentric author series, outdoor festivals, silent - and not so silent - film series, visual art exhibitions, business and entrepreneurial series, and many, many others. These programs are all in need of private support and offer sponsorship benefits such as naming rights, speaking opportunities, logo placement, invitations to exclusive donor luncheonl, and opportunities for employee volunteerism in a variety of Library programs.
  • In-Kind Giving: BPL is constantly upgrading, improving, and repairing the 60 libraries that make up the BPL system. To do so often involves the pairing of capital investment with in-kind donations from philanthropically minded corporate partners. These in-kind donations include computers, furniture, and books.
  • Corporate Circle: Join other companies in the New York/Brooklyn area in this elite group supporting the general operations of BPL. Take advantage of sponsorship benefits such as an invitation to a corporate donor event and listing on BPL's Donor Wall.
  • Gala: Each year BPL hosts a Gala honoring the best and brightest from Brooklyn, both in corporate and individual achievement. Corporate tables are available for this special event.
