Biking with a Friend

What's better than riding a bike on the beach? Riding a bike on the beach with a friend. Today's Photo of the Week looks at the tandem bicycle, an intimate vehicle that requires teamwork. Operating a tandem bike might be easy, but finding a tandem partner is tricky. You need someone sporty, unafraid of leg cramps, with the desire to go in the same direction as you. This Valentine's Day, ask the most intimate question of all: Will you ride a tandem bike with me?

I was happy to see the photos connection to a holiday observed by many. I'd like to see more connections to annual observances which are national, multicultural (all the protected classes like race, gender identity, religion, etc.), etc., along with the photo selection each week. For example, this year February 13 is Mardi Gras which goes by many other names (Carnival, Shrove Tuesday, Carnevale, Fat Tuesday, Pancake Day, etc.), depending, if observed, upon one's cultural background. May is traditionally the month to remind everyone to get your bike's annual check up--though kudos to the writer for the unexpected Valentine's Day connection.

Love this photo and the verbiage. Taking this valentine's theme to say thank you for all the wonderful images you research and share.
