Brooklyn Public Library Learning Centers provide free innovative educational programs for beginning adult readers and writers. Through books, technology, and small group instruction, adults build the skills needed to meet their personal, educational, and employment goals. Additional Brooklyn Public Library Learning Centers are located at the Bedford, Central, Flatbush and New Lots libraries.
Adult learners in the program are English speaking, older than 17 years of age, and reading below a pre-GED level. This part-time, flexible program offers four hours of individualized reading and writing instruction per week. Additional support and programming is available. To enroll in this program, call or visit a BPL Learning Center.
