Summer @ BPL Kick-off at Kings Bay Library
Children, teens, families, adults of all ages are invited to kick off Summer @ BPL with an interactive performance by Kevin Nathaniel.
African Instruments, Music, and Dances from the Motherland to the Diaspora by Kevin Nathaniel
Kids will learn about the mbira, one of Africa’s most ancient melodic instruments, as well as shekere, and several other instruments. Kids will discover how traditional and contemporary call-and-response songs from various regions of Africa are connected to diaspora.
This event will take place on the first floor of the Kings Bay Branch.
