Acrylic Painting at the Senior Center
This program is only open to members of the Red Hook Senior Center, but the center serves all adults ages 60 and older (with ID.)
PAINTING WITH ACRYLICS!
In this class we will learn the basics of color theory. We will explore the properties of acrylic paint as we mix and use colors.
A still life will be set up and we will experience how to transfer what we see to the canvas.
We will have two sessions to experiment and create beautiful paintings.
The instructor, Joyce Abrams, is a professional artist, curator, and educator. She has exhibited widely, and her work is in both private and public collections. She holds a B.F.A. from Cooper Union and an M.F.A. from Columbia University.
